Backwoods Christian Camp is located approximately 13 miles east of Lineville, Alabama. BCC has been a special place for many people for over 30 years. The camp consists of 170 wooded acres on beautiful Lake Wedowee. The young people who attend not only enjoy many activities such as cable rides, water slides, hayrides, volleyball, horseshoes, and crafts, but also delight in growing spiritually through various activities.
BCC is hosting its 3rd annual 5K Color Fun Run on Saturday, April 6th at Oak Mountain State Park. This run will be less about your 10-minute mile and more about having fun while helping a great cause. “Color Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colors at stations along the 5K run creating a great experience!
There will also be a “one-mile fun run” for children ages 10 and under (children may run the 5K instead). This will take place at the same time and location but will consist of laps around a “course” that is directly beside the start/finish line. Included in the ticket price will be face painting, inflatables, and lots of fun! This year this will be an event for the avid runners and someone looking for a fun activity for the whole family.
