Theme: “Called Up: Living Beyond Low Expectations”
Overview: You weren’t made to blend in. You were made to rise.

Everyone around you may say, “Just do enough to get by.” But deep down, you know that’s not who you were created to be. Called Up is a straight-up challenge to stop settling and start living with purpose.

This isn’t just another seminar. It’s a wake-up call.

In five powerful sessions, you’ll discover:

  • Why culture’s expectations for teens are way too low
  • What God really expects from you—and why that’s a good thing
  • How to be a difference-maker in your family, your church, your world
  • How to handle dating with purpose instead of drama
  • And how to step into your calling right now

You’ve got what it takes. But more importantly, God is calling you to something greater. Will you answer the call?

Lesson Titles:
1. “Lost Standards: Who Moved the Bar?”
Description: Before we can rise above, we have to know what we’re rising to. This lesson uncovers how the idea of adolescence was invented by culture and how expectations for teens have slowly eroded. Through real talk and biblical truth, teens will see how far the bar has dropped—and why it’s time to move it back where God placed it.
2. “Stand Tall: What God Expects in a Culture That Doesn’t”
Description: Culture says, “Just survive.” God says, “Thrive in faith.” This lesson reveals what God expects from teens—not someday, but right now. Using examples from Scripture and current trends, we’ll explore how teens can rise above peer pressure, apathy, and fear to live a courageous and countercultural faith.
3. “Home Base: Becoming Who God Wants You To Be at Home”
Description: Teens sometimes underestimate their influence at home. This lesson will challenge them to embrace God’s expectations in their roles as sons, daughters, and siblings. Respect, obedience, and spiritual leadership aren’t just adult things—they start now.
4. “More Than a Seat Filler: Owning Your Place in the Church”
Description: You’re not the church of tomorrow—you’re the church of now. In this lesson, we’ll bust the myth that teens are just observers. God expects young people to serve, lead, grow, and ignite change in the body of Christ today. Teens will walk away with a new vision of what active, meaningful involvement looks like.
5. “Dating on Purpose: God’s Standard in a Swipe-Right World”
Description: In a culture that treats dating like a game, God calls us to something far deeper. This lesson equips teens to date with intention, purity, and purpose. It explores what God expects from romantic relationships, how to guard your heart, and what it means to reflect Christ, even in dating.
